About Katy
Hi, I'm Katy.
My work is rooted in a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience their voice without judgement.
Singing can build confidence, create connection and give us a way to express things that ordinary conversation cannot always hold. However, many people arrive believing they cannot sing, should not be heard or need to become more accomplished before they are entitled to enjoy their voice.
I want to help change that.
Through individual vocal support, community groups, retreats and workplace experiences, I create spaces where people can explore their voices with curiosity and care.
I am an accredited Vocal Health First Aider, which supports me to provide informed vocal health guidance, encourage sustainable habits and recognise when someone may benefit from specialist clinical support.
My experience of neurodivergence also has a meaningful influence on my approach. It has helped me recognise how much sensory needs, communication styles, energy, confidence and previous experiences can affect someone's ability to participate.
For me, inclusion is not about expecting everyone to engage in exactly the same way. It is about creating enough safety, clarity and flexibility for people to find their own way into the experience.
You don't need to arrive confident. You don't need the right words, a trained voice or a perfectly formed goal.
You can begin as you are.
